Trial On 9/11 person?
I personally don't think this man should receive all of the freedoms that a US citizen receives. But I do feel the jury in his trial should be made up of people who will attempt to look at the crime without bias although this will be very hard to find in the united states. But if we are going to take any of this man's rights away I feel the trial should at least be just.

Obama's presidency
Aside from policy, Presidential interaction with topics from our government book, and party views aside, I think Obama's biggest obstacle is to stand by his views, policies, and promises without being completely bias towards what will win him the reelection. I think that electing the first black president was such an enormous step that people have extremely high expectations and many of these expectations are very contingent on his reelection. This is a tough place to be in for Obama and I do not believe dissent is the highest form of patriotism. We should be praying that he can stand by his beliefs and dreams for our country and not fall into the clutches of the reelection monster.
Different backgrounds in supreme Court
To be honest, at first I thought the supreme court judges were assigned specific cases to handle on their own but after learning from this certain bearded man I know that it is a collective and confusing/unique judging process where each supreme court justice plays a role in each case, my outlook became entirely different. I think it is good to have judges with entirely different backgrounds so hopefully each angle of a case can be better seen and understood. If all of the judges were exactly the same we wouldn't need a group of them to all express the same decision and opinion on matters and cases. Lets go diversity in the Judicial Branch!
Dove in Afghanistan
I thought the blog we read was very interesting. Top here such a head strong left wing person somewhat "admit" to the need for troops in Afghanistan is shocking to me. But, what I found most interesting was the comment from the Medea lady about Afghanistan women needing to fight for their freedoms and progress. It seems a little contradictory to what you are protesting against in Afghanistan. You want to help them but you think they shouldn't get any help? Interesting...yet what i feel must be considered is that we are hearing this from someone else not the direct source.

Hate Crime
I am for gender identity, homosexuality, and transgender communities being protected against the hate crime law. Although it is disputed because putting these groups in the same category as race and religion is to say the least a touchy subject. Aside from the dispute about putting these things in the same category I still think that the new communities protected under the hate crime law because of cases that have proven crimes agaisnt these communities as very similar to other hate crimes.
Earmarking Bills
Earmarking the new hate crime additions in a military spending bill is a very clever move. Although I do agree with the new parties protected under the hate crime law, I do not agree with earmarking cases such as these under bills that are so completely unrelated. I think there should be another way to pass a controversial bill but perhaps our government's structure is responsible for these situations.

Stop of federal m.m. involvement in states
To be completely honest, I do not feel that Medical Marijuana is a topic that our government should be so concerned with. We have much larger problems to face in our government and our congress cannot currently pass a piece of legislature about seemingly anything especially such a controversial topic as medical marijuana. I, however, am for the federal government's new decision to stop involvement in medical marijuana cases within the states. I think it is a product that must be taken advantage of in our struggling economy.

USA Patriot Act
I feel the USA patriot act is a positive thing about american government. Although some argue that it is against our rights of privacy I disagree because I trust our government to not take advantage of this power and truly manipulate this act in a way that is to solely to protect the american population. The recent arrest of the colorado man allegedly planning terrorist activities is a perfect example of a positive action taken by the government to protect the american people. I trust our governments decision making and manipulation regarding the USA patriot act.

Blog Four...bru
Although it would be very interesting to enable the American people to know all of the government's secrets I still feel that the government has many secrets pertaining to national security that are completely necessary to keep secret. Many policies and plans that our government keeps from us are not because of shady intentions but because simply if this information were to escape into the wrong hands, It could mean terrible things for our country. These questions are far too harsh to even suspect our president of doing something illegal. WE elected this man on the premise that we will support his actions and decisions and trust that he constantly has our country's best interest and safety in mind.

Two party system
I feel the two party system has many pluses and minuses. The two party system basically makes it easier for people to elect candidates with similar views as them. People are often too lazy to research each and every topic and formulate and educated opinion on those topics and a large two party system basically make it so that people can fall intoa general opinion and view towards most topics according to their common political beliefs.
Voter registration
I think voter registration is a great part of the american electoral process. It stops people who are unaware of voting days from simply walking in a voting booth and castin their vote on topics they know nothing about. The extra twenty minutes it takes to registrate is definitely worth it for voters who have a strong opinion on the political topic they ar voting on. I also feel though, that some sort of test in order for vots to registrate seems unconstitutional and I personally do not have enough trust in voting administrators to descriminate against a cerain voting demographic in some way.

Blog Post number uno
What do you think?
1. I feel my biggest political influences at first came from my parents and my grandfather but the most influential person in relation to my political ideas is my brother. We have very similar political views and i feel this was developed because we have experienced a very similar life.
2. I feel my cultural background played the biggest role in my political views because aside from partisan views, my cultura background most directly effects my political background into more local and somewhat earlier introduced topics such as change, population interaction, and war.
Choose your own:
I do not feel that all Americans shold receive free health care because althouh there are many benefits to this such as the end to americans without health care, a government regulated system, and elimination of privatized healthcare but I feel that these positives are greatly outweighed by the heavy financial burden of this concept and also the extreme negative reaction towards this topic would be with many people in disagreeance with "socialized health care."
