What do you think?
1. I feel my biggest political influences at first came from my parents and my grandfather but the most influential person in relation to my political ideas is my brother. We have very similar political views and i feel this was developed because we have experienced a very similar life.
2. I feel my cultural background played the biggest role in my political views because aside from partisan views, my cultura background most directly effects my political background into more local and somewhat earlier introduced topics such as change, population interaction, and war.

I do not feel that all Americans shold receive free health care because althouh there are many benefits to this such as the end to americans without health care, a government regulated system, and elimination of privatized healthcare but I feel that these positives are greatly outweighed by the heavy financial burden of this concept and also the extreme negative reaction towards this topic would be with many people in disagreeance with "socialized health care."

I agree with you when you stated that it would be to much for the government to pay for everyone's health care. My opinion is that people need to have paid in, so that we don't get further into our recession.
ReplyDeleteokkkkk. i think people shouldnt get free health care either. people work hard to make money and afford everything they need to pay for in this world. if everyone gets it for free i think people that dont try to work hard are smootching off the government. if they arent working hard why should the government just hand it to them? no way.
ReplyDeleteYet the American Government has thrown almost a trillion dollars at the military since 2001. Perhaps if we didn't police the entire world )which by the way isn't our job), we would find some funds in the budget to give the American people the care a government should give. Given we are in a recession and government run healthcare probably won't happen but that doesn't mean it shouldn't. We should be more concerned with helping our own people than destroying the lives of others.
ReplyDeleteIt's true that there shouldn't be people who refuse to work that just mooch off the government, but who decides where to draw the line between laziness and simply being in the wrong situation at the wrong place and wrong time, and when that person is dying, what are we supposed to say? "You have to suffer because you didn't work?" Nobody deserves to die uncared for when things could be done to save them, lazy or not.
ReplyDeletewell kylie... if we do help say the people in need why are the others that work as hard as possible to further themselves in society taxed more?? all i have to do is make 50,000 and yr and i in reality pay little to help the poor or those in need. The govt. has records of everyone, they can see weather or not they've had a job or not.. thats how they draw the line..

Country after country asks for our help.. you hear that we shouldnt be there for the leaders of each country that r to embarrassed to ask for help.. So your saying we arent caring for our country by trying to take out the terrorist that killed so many of our people.. if we hadn't have gone to war you would have been bitchin' that we didn't do anything in the first place. yes we did go a little over board.. don't get me wrong.. but if there wasn't a America in this world gettin up in everyones business.. Globalization would be dead
By the govt. offering an additional option for health care, that my cause the independent insurers to lower there prices or come up with a lower payment plan... just the threat may change things
I agree, the costs outweigh the benefits.
